Director. Grower, Sandy Creek Pineapple Company, Glasshouse.
After finishing school in 1969, third generation farmer Murray is an industry enthusiast and a pioneer in fresh fruit, being one of the first growers to pursue the new gold cultivators. Murray’s father was an original shareholder in Golden Circle in 1947 with the family farm Sandy Creek Pineapple Company providing pineapples to Golden Circle until 1999. In 2000, Murray made the decision to move to 100% fresh pineapple production and it was then that the family farm began supplying Tropical Pines. Murray then became a director of Tropical Pines in 2012 whilst still playing an active role to this date within Sandy Creek Pineapple Company which has been running under his son Sam. The generations of the Pike family continue to grow with Sam welcoming his son Ryan in 2020, with Ryan now 5th generation to live in the original Pike farm house.linkedin
