If for any reason you can’t eat your Pure Gold Pineapple straight away, there is always the option of freezing it, so you don’t miss out on any pure gold moments.
Frozen pineapple is amazing in smoothies, or simply to snack on. It’s the perfect cool sweet treat. Frozen pineapple can last up to 6 months stored correctly in the freezer.
How to Freeze a pineapple
1. Cut off the top and the bottom of the pineapple, remove the skin and cut into usable chunks. The size of the pieces really depends on what you want to use it for.
2. Place some baking paper on a tray. Position the pineapple chunks on the tray making sure they are not touching or they will freeze together.
3. Place in the freezer overnight.
4. The next day transfer pineapple pieces into an air tight container or sealable plastic sandwich bag and put them back in the freezer.
Tip: Make sure you date your bag or container – your pineapple will safely last up to 6 months in the freezer!
